Arkansas Talent Group is recruiting for an established financial services firm in the Little Rock area seeking a detail-oriented Investment Accountant to join their operations team. This full-time, in-office role supports portfolio maintenance, accounting, client reporting, compliance, and team collaboration in a close-knit professional environment. The ideal candidate brings accounting precision, financial services experience, and adaptability across banking, investments, or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile portfolio accounting systems, serving as liaison with vendors for daily operations and process improvements
- Support client reporting and communications, working with portfolio managers to develop customized reports and materials
- Handle proxy voting, GIPS compliance, and record-keeping to meet regulatory standards
- Assist with business development tasks, including RFP preparation and compliance testing
- Document processes, lead ad-hoc projects, and contribute to operational efficiencies
- Collaborate across teams on compliance, client service, and portfolio administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in financial services, investments, banking, or public accounting (audit focus)
- Strong attention to detail, deadline management, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Collaborative team player with professional integrity
Preferred
- CPA certification (active or in progress)
- Experience with portfolio accounting software (Advent Axys, Black Diamond, or similar)
- Familiarity with capital markets, SEC regulations, or GIPS standards
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent)
