Senior Systems Engineer (Tier 3)

Arkansas Network Experts is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Tier 3) to join our Managed Service Provider (MSP) team. This role is ideal for a high-level technician with strong MSP experience who can handle complex escalations, lead technical projects, support junior staff, and work directly with clients both remotely and on-site.
Responsibilities
- Act as Tier 3 escalation support for advanced technical issues
- Lead and assist with IT projects (servers, Microsoft 365, networks, security)
- Provide on-site support at client locations as needed
- Mentor and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians
- Maintain technical documentation and follow internal standards
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding issues, solutions, and project updates
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of MSP experience (required)
- Proven Tier 3 or senior-level technical experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows Server environments
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Azure AD, SharePoint)
- Networking (firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs)
- Virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMware)
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Skilled in DNS configuration and management
- Experienced in implementing strong cybersecurity practices
- Proficient in email systems and their operations
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred
- Industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.)
- Experience leading or owning IT projects
- Security-focused experience (EDR, best practices, compliance)
