The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for a high school (grades 9-12). Video Production teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The Healthcare Services Teacher provides rigorous, industry-aligned instruction in health science to prepare students for post-secondary study and entry-level employment in healthcare fields. The teacher integrates Arkansas CTE Health Science course frameworks, National Health Science Standards, and clinical skill competencies while fostering professional ethics, safety, and workplace readiness.
Duties and Responsibilities include:

Deliver appropriate healthcare curriculum using ADE-approved frameworks.

Develop lesson plans that incorporate differentiated instruction, project-based learning, simulation labs, and embedded literacy/math supports.

Integrate up-to-date industry technology—including electronic health records (EHR), simulation mannequins, basic diagnostic equipment, and PPE protocols.

Maintain a safe, OSHA-compliant lab environment; manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.

Coordinate and supervise clinical experiences or job-shadowing with local healthcare partners in accordance with HIPAA and district policies.

Communicate student progress, program opportunities, and safety expectations to parents/guardians.

Develop partnerships with local hospitals, clinics, and colleges to enhance work-based learning and dual-credit options.

Uphold district policies, teacher code of ethics, and FERPA/HIPAA confidentiality requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned by the principal that support student learning and district goals.
Qualifications

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Health Sciences, or related field.

Licensure/Certification – One of the following:

Arkansas Teaching License with CTE Health Sciences (410) endorsement or
-
Eligibility for a Provisional Professional Teaching License (PPTL) based on a current unencumbered healthcare license (e.g., RN, LPN, Paramedic) and three years of recent industry experience.

Experience – Minimum three years full-time employment in a direct-patient-care or healthcare services setting. Teaching or clinical preceptor experience preferred.
Salary : $50,000 - $63,501
