Arkansas Graphics is seeking a Graphic Designer. (First time applicants please)
Applicants must have an eye for design, fresh ideas, and an extensive knowledge of and experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. You will be responsible for creating new designs for commercial printing, updating previous designs and pre-flighting client files for production. Attention to detail, the ability to effectively manage and prioritize workflow as well as organize and maintain files is necessary. Experience in a print-shop setting is preferred but not required. Resumé required with sample work.
Applicant must be self-motivated, work well in a team environment and have the skills and experience to jump right into our fast-paced, quality-driven production environment. Applicant must have a positive attitude and an interest in commercial offset printing, digital printing, and large format color printing. Applicant must be committed to high quality and attention to detail. Applicant must be able to communicate effectively with staff and customers. Our Graphic Design position is in-house, full-time employment not suited for free-lance designers.
Responsibilities Include:
• Design, create and edit a wide variety of print materials.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficient in proper grammar and punctuation.
• Follow job instructions and clients' design parameters
• Detailed time and materials tracking.
• Generating and editing PDF files for use in high resolution commercial printing.
• Ensure all orders are completed on time meeting customers’ expectations.
• Properly using and maintaining all department tools and equipment.
Qualifications Include (but not required):
• Experience with print production.
• Understanding of Variable Data print production.
• Understanding of postal regulations used with direct mail printing
• Ability to follow department procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
