Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED Plus Graduation from an approved Radiology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography
- Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology
- 1 - 3 years of Mammography Technologist experience
Additional Information:
- Operates specialized radiologic equipment to perform high-quality breast imaging exams, including mammography and breast ultrasounds.
- Maintains an adequate level of supplies and keeps the workspace clean.
- Communicates mammography exam procedures to patients and enlists patient cooperation in positioning for radiological examination.
- Provides patient education regarding mammography and breast health.
- Assists with records management and scheduling appointments.
- Obtains patient history and enters into Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Schedules exams and reviews previous records to determine correct studies are performed.
- Ensures exams are completed, and images are in Picture Archiving and Communication (PACS) systems.
- Enrolls patients in BreastCare Program as appropriate.
- Maintains knowledge of breast procedures, including ultrasound biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, MRI-guided biopsy, and needle localizations through continuing education and professional development.
- Completes other duties as requested.
