Description
- Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
- Demonstrates the knowledge to perform correct scan protocols in an effort to decrease radiation exposure to patients.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA
- Properly administers IV and oral contrast.
- Explains exams/procedures to patients and families.
- Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
- Keeps current of new and evolving technologies in CT.
- Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
- Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
