Description
- Under direction from the Director of Pastoral Care or Senior Chaplain, provides pastoral care during crisis by providing a calming presence and influence.
- Uses fundamental understanding of the grief process, especially in sudden death to counsel and minister to individuals and families.
- Responds to patient and family needs based on informal assessment of spiritual and pastoral needs.
- Fosters and maintains good working relationships with patients, families, visitors and co-workers.
- Facilitates the spiritual, religious and pastoral needs of patients and families of different faith backgrounds.
- Completes departmental and hospital required documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
