Job Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner Associate performs generalist duties while being coached and trained alongside more senior HR Business Partners to become equipped for serving in that capacity. At the associate level, skills will be developed for executing human capital initiatives, providing superior internal customer support, driving divisional excellence, and process improvement. The incumbent will develop skills for critical interaction and influencing responsibility throughout the organization. This position requires Human Resources operational knowledge to gain credibility with management and partners with individual business units by attending and presenting at staff meetings as needed. The incumbent will have daily contact with employees at all levels of the Enterprise as well as outside organizations, vendors and external applicants.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years’ experience in an exempt-level Human Resources roles spanning multiple areas will be considered.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Human Resource generalist professional certification through Society of Human Resource Management or comparable accrediting agency preferred; if not certified, must obtain within two (2) years in position. (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
Experience & Knowledge
Legal/Compliance: Demonstrated understanding of federal and Arkansas employment law as it pertains to ADA, wage and hour, Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Personal Health Information (PHI), EEO and other anti-discrimination protections preferred.
Employee Relations: Experience in handling employee relations issues, including investigation processes, preferred.
HRIS: Demonstrated understanding and experience in monitoring and updating employee status changes preferred.

- Performance Management: Consults with supervisory and management staff regarding educational, growth, performance improvement and performance development of team and individuals and collaborates with Learning and Organizational Development team to ensure enterprise opportunities are known and utilized.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Total Rewards (Compensation/Benefits/Leave): Works jointly with Compensation and business unit management on compensation initiatives, issues and job offers in accordance with compensation policy. Collaborates on Workers Compensation, Short-term Disability, Family Medical Leave, Return to Work, and other leave programs with Total Rewards team.
