What are the responsibilities and job description for the HOT SPRINGS WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR position at Arkansas Beverage Sales Inc?
Assume leadership responsibilities of warehouse team in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and indirectly to the Operations Director.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Properly process computer work when necessary
- Assign workloads to staff in absence of supervisor
- Coordinate proper vehicle with load and route #
- Ensure that bar codes and invoices are placed in bulk trucks
- Complete loading of assigned trucks in a timely manner, efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure proper rotation of product on delivery vehicles and maintain proper rotation in warehouse
- Maintain product and packing quality
- Ensure that pallets are separated and stacked in quantities of 28
- Place all damaged beer on pallet in repack area, combine as necessary
- Adhere to all safety rules and Company policies
- Ensure all warehouse and dock areas are satisfactorily cleaned and trash emptied at end of shift
- At end of shift; ensure fork lifts are parked in breakage room & plugged into battery chargers, all damaged product is placed in proper location, all keys are removed from vehicles, all bays are shut down & locked, all doors are closed & locked, and facility is secured with alarm armed
- Put forklift batteries charged and check water weekly
- Communicate all work related information to Warehouse Manager in a timely manner
- Verify accurate loading of all trucks
- Report all accidents to employees or facility immediately
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Physical ability and skills to complete all job tasks—must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds with continuous lifting up to 161 pounds
- Computer literacy to use job related programs
- Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, not leaving prior to all trucks being loaded
- Strong communication skills
- Complete all required for position including safety and OSHA training
- Read / review Arkansas Beverage Sales’ Policy Manual
- Willingness to work until the entire job is done
- Lift truck skills, tractor & trailer driving skills
