About the position: As a Materials Medical Handler I - Slides, you will be organizing and filing daily slides for archival preservation. You will be responsible for maintaining an orderly library and retrieving slides for physicians and researchers in a timely fashion. Coordinate and prepare slide return of time-sensitive specimens to clients. You will take ownership of planning and implementing long-term slide storage. Other administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll do:
- Retrieving, organizing, and filing daily slides in lab
- Tracking daily temperature logs on equipment
- Maintaining catalog of biopsy slides on-site and off-site as needed
- Pulling internal requests on a timely basis with proper documentation
- Boxing slides for archival storage off-site
- Delivering to or retrieve materials from off-site archival storage as assigned
- Using provided database for best use of our storage on slides
- Compiling, coding, categorizing, verifying, and/or processing information or data into database
- Identifying and setting aside consult slides for transport to Materials Management Admin for return of materials to clients
- Working closely with team to identify and prioritize emergent needs
- Serving as a backup to Materials Medical Handler I - Kits position
- Performing day-to-day administrative tasks as assigned
You should have:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1 year of office experience
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Proficient Excel skills required
This position is onsite at our Little Rock, AR location with a schedule of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
