Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized, communicative, and adaptable individual to serve as our Floater Teachers. This unique hybrid role combines administrative support with classroom engagement, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and aspires to grow into a management position.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Assist the school director with daily office tasks and parent communication
- Answer phone calls, manage emails, and greet visitors with professionalism and warmth
- Help maintain student records, schedules, and documentation
- Support enrollment, tours, and event coordination
- Track attendance and supply inventory
Classroom Support:
- Step into classrooms as needed to support lead teachers and maintain student-teacher ratios
- Provide nurturing supervision to children from infants to kindergarten-age
- Assist with classroom transitions, outdoor activities, and meal/snack times
- Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a childcare or preschool setting (Montessori experience a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- A team player with a positive attitude and flexibility
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or CDA preferred)
- Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
