As a Runner, you play a crucial role in connecting our kitchen and dining room, ensuring every plate leaves the kitchen perfectly and reaches the guest promptly and beautifully presented. At Kaluz, every detail matters and your professionalism and energy help make every experience unforgettable.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Deliver food and drink orders from the kitchen to the dining room, patio, bar top, and lounge areas safely, quickly, and accurately.

• Serve as a key point of communication between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

• Relay special requests and priorities (such as allergies) to the kitchen as needed.

• Assist servers with gathering tableware and service items.

• Ensure plates are clean, correctly prepared, and beautifully presented before serving.

• Fulfill simple guest requests such as water refills, napkins, or utensils.

• Remove dirty dishes and service items from tables as needed during delivery.

• Answer basic guest questions about menu items when possible.

• Coordinate with the team on more complex guest needs.

• Maintain awareness of guest and staff safety while delivering hot plates, sharp items, and navigating crowded spaces.

• Stock and replenish service products (to-go boxes, condiments, ice, glassware, etc.).

• Help keep the expo line clean and organized.

• Perform regular restroom checks to ensure cleanliness and restock as needed.

• Attend team meetings and required food & alcohol safety training to ensure compliance with policies.
