Experienced Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant
Immediate openings for full/part time Veterinary Technician (RVT) /Veterinary Assistant
to join our hospital. We are a busy 1 1/2 doctor small animal practice in Santa Cruz CA. We are seeking reliable, motivated individuals with great communication skills and attention to detail. Ideal candidates will be flexible, willing to work overtime, be team players with an easygoing and friendly disposition possessing a deep respect and affection for animals and have the ability to multi-task efficiently.
Candidates will have the following skills
· TPR's
· General nursing
· Restraining both cats and dogs
· Routine tech work
· Drug Calculations
· Excellent venipuncture skills/both cats and dogs
· IV catheter placement/both cats and dogs
· X-Rays
· Anesthesia monitoring
· Surgical assistance
· Dental skills--Ultrasonic scaling and polishing
· Ability to Triage both critical and non critical patients
· Great client/patient skills of anesthesia, drugs, surgery, hospitalized patient care.
