Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care including assistance with mobility and transferring using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and tidying of the home.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with memory care, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia, through patient observation and tailored activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
Qualifications
- Current TB Test
- Valid Arizona Caregiver Certification
- Previous experience in home health, senior care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, HIPAA regulations, and patient monitoring techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and cleaning duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist clients in physical mobility tasks.
- A compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding towards clients’ needs is crucial for success in this role.
Pay
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour, based upon knowledge, skills, abilities and experience. Paid weekly.
