We're seeking a highly skilled EdTech Innovation Fellow who thrives at the intersection of strategic writing, relationship building, and project execution to join our Innovation & Emerging Initiatives team. Every day you will make a difference in the lives of others by developing grant proposals, funding pitches, and strategic narratives while also serving as a trusted project organizer who helps teams organize, prioritize, and deliver meaningful outcomes.

You'll work with executive leaders, faculty, researchers, innovators, as well as academic and industry partners to identify opportunities, develop winning proposals, launch new initiatives, and manage projects that advance educational innovation and societal impact.

This role is designed for professionals who want to accelerate their growth beyond traditional project coordination or grant development. Unlike traditional project management roles, you will gain direct exposure to senior leadership, opportunities to contribute to strategic decision-making, and hands-on experience developing initiatives from concept through implementation. You will have the opportunity to flex and expand your existing strengths while building experience and relationships at the highest levels of the university.

NOTE: This is an in-person, hybrid position. You must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale AZ.

Essential Duties

  • Partner with executive leaders and key stakeholders to identify emerging opportunities, define strategic priorities, and advance innovative initiatives with measurable impact.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to project sponsors and leadership by preparing executive-ready communications, recommendations, updates, and decision-support materials.
  • Research and pursue funding, partnership, and growth opportunities, translating promising ideas into compelling proposals, concept papers, executive briefings, presentations, and funding pitches.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform complex challenges into clear strategies, actionable plans, and fundable solutions.
  • Help shape new programs and initiatives by defining objectives, success metrics, budgets, timelines, and implementation approaches.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, design-thinking workshops, stakeholder interviews, and planning activities that uncover opportunities, align teams, and generate innovative solutions.
  • Develop project roadmaps, communication strategies, and implementation plans that move ideas from vision to reality.
  • Build meaningful relationships with internal and external partners and represent initiatives with professionalism, curiosity, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Leverage, design and deploy generative AI to automate, accelerate, and improve the quality of writing, research, analysis, and project management workflows.
  • Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

NOTE: This is an in-person, hybrid position. You must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale AZ.

Desired Qualifications

  • Evidence of a master’s degree with superior academic achievement.
  • Evidence of success developing strategic communications, competitive grants, and proposals.
  • Project management experience, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Evidence of exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Evidence of excellent research, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in innovation-driven environments and comfort leveraging project management and AI tools to improve outcomes.

NOTE: Please answer the following questions in your cover letter:

  • Describe an example of how you helped advance an innovative initiative or solve a complex problem.
  • Share how you have used AI-enabled tools to enhance your work, including the context, the tools you used, and the results you achieved.
