As the First Assistant Golf Professional at Forest Highlands Golf Club, under the direction of the Director of Golf you will lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Canyon facility.
This position is operationally focused on a robust and thriving tournament program, along with day to day operations and team leadership.
This role requires strong leadership skills to train and mentor staff, proactive management techniques including "Manage by Walking Around," and meticulous attention to detail in overseeing all aspects of the golf shop operations. You will collaborate with various departments, including the Superintendent and Merchandiser, to enhance member satisfaction, promote the caddie program, and maximize revenue opportunities while upholding club standards.

Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years of private member owned club experience preferred
- Leading and developing teams through actions, disposition, and passion
- Comprehensive event and tournament management experience preferred
- Multi-course experience is a plus
- Proven work experience in a mountain or summer seasonal environment
- PGA Member or Level 3 Apprentice that is fully committed to professional longevity, growth, and career development
- An ability to work effectively with respective club and tournament committees
- Tournament Director - response for all aspects of the tournament program.
- Under the direction and in support of, responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Canyon facility.
- Manage by Walking Around
- Update the opening and closing checklist for Canyon Golf Shop with any new procedures.
- Assist DOG with the preparation of budget, including forecasting and review of all golf revenues and expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
- Oversee and approve bi-weekly golf staff time sheets/payroll and give to Director of Golf.
- Assist DOG with the preparation of Seasonal Plan/Action Plan
- Assist DOG with the preparation of end of Season Critique
- Provide exceptional customer service.
