Overview
Assists in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, acting as ranger, starter, guest relations, outside service or golf shop shifts.
Experience Required
- Associate's degree (AA); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current PGA/LGPA Membership.
- Ability to read and speak English is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with computerized POS and tee time system.
- Regularly stands, walks and sits; occasionally climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches.
- Frequently uses hands and arms; frequently talks or hears; tastes or smells.
- Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions; frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
- Assist in administering point of sale application revisions and needs related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
- Coordinate with Accounting Departments on policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementation.
- Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in, and receive payments from members and guests.
- Resolve discrepancies related to duplicate charges and over or under payment.
- Track force posts and no show charges as applicable.
- Promote all club golf activities.
- Assist in the creation of lesson plans and provide both individual and group instruction.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
- Assist retail buyer with procurement and merchandise and support shop assistants with merchandising and sales.
- Prepare for golf outings including scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments.
- Monitor members' scores, report handicapping to USGA and bill members.
- Follow established opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with associate training.
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
