Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately install metal roofing systems in accordance with construction plans and safety standards
- Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery required for roofing installation and repair tasks
- Install various roofing components including metal panels, trim carpentry elements, flashing, caulking, and siding as specified in project plans
- Use ladders, safety harnesses, and other equipment while adhering strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence guidelines
- Perform roofing repairs on existing structures using metal roofing techniques or single-ply membrane roofing methods when necessary
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper form to prevent injury during outdoor work activities
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure precise installation aligned with project specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, following all construction safety regulations including proper use of construction safety harnesses and ladder use procedures
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing installation or repair; prior metal roofing experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans related to roofing projects
- Hands-on experience working with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and scaffolding in outdoor environments
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including the use of safety harnesses, ladder use protocols, and general site safety practices
- Experience in siding installation, stucco application, masonry work or metal stud framing is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while adhering to safety standards in outdoor construction settings
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work environments involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
