Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform assessments, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of various medical practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Co-manage patients with attending physicians between follow-up visits.
- Participate in a structured apprenticeship to build subspecialty knowledge in pulmonary care.
- Help develop and run innovative clinics for:
-Acute sick visits and triage-based care
-Preoperative pulmonary risk assessment
-Durable medical equipment renewals
-Hospital discharge follow-ups
- Conduct shared new-patient consults with physicians (history taking, data gathering, initial management plans).
- Involvement in the lung nodule clinic
- Review and communicate diagnostic results directly with patients.
- Collaborate with medical assistants and ancillary staff for seamless care delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely follow-up communication.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) processes is a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications preferred.
