What Your Day Would Be Like:
- Lead the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of communication systems supporting critical utility infrastructure
- Diagnose and resolve complex field issues—identifying root causes and implementing real-time solutions to keep systems operational
- Evaluate designs in the field, identify gaps or deficiencies, and recommend practical redesigns or modifications
- Partner with engineering teams and vendors to resolve escalations quickly—acting as the technical expert on-site
- Monitor system performance and ensure all work meets strict safety, quality, and operational standards
- Drive process improvements by providing feedback on system design, installation methods, and integration practices
- Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and validation of network and communication integrations in live environments
IT Integration Communication Specialist II | Deer Valley
- Equivalent to a high school diploma and experience troubleshooting and repairing metering and control systems
- PLUS two (2) years related experience.
IT Integration Communication Specialist III | Deer Valley
- Equivalent to a high school diploma and experience troubleshooting and repairing metering and control systems
- PLUS five (5) years related experience.
IT Integration Communication Specialist, Senior | Deer Valley
- Equivalent to a high school diploma and experience troubleshooting and repairing metering and control systems
- PLUS seven (7) years related experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel statewide, work outdoors, and work overtime.
- Demonstrated experience in substation design concepts/practices relating to substation control and communication equipment needed to back haul substation telemetry.
- A thorough understanding of protection, metering, and control concepts.
- The ability to apply and solve mathematical formulas using algebra and trigonometry.
- Familiarity with electronic circuit fundamentals.
- Demonstrated personal computer skills including working knowledge of both hardware fundamentals and software applications.
