Salary Range: $42,000 - $52,000 annually

The Arizona Media Association is hiring a Sales Support Coordinator! 

The mission of the Arizona Media Association (AMA) is to futureproof Arizona local media and protect its critical role in community connection. The Association is the newly combined operation of the Arizona Broadcasters Association and Arizona Newspapers Association and represents almost 400 local media brands on radio, TV, print and digital. The Association also manages day-to-day operations for the new Arizona Local News Foundation, which exists to connect Arizona communities with more local news. 

The Sales Support Coordinator will support the Public Education Program (PEP) team and report to the Director of PEP Projects. This role will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency and accuracy of the Arizona Media Association’s statewide public interest campaigns. Core duties will include administrative support, monthly client reporting, invoicing, and member communication. 

To support the needs of an ever-evolving media industry, the AMA works at a fast pace. The Sales Support Coordinator is required to represent the association with a buttoned-up, detailed, and customer-centric approach that provides prompt answers and information to our members, partners, the public, and key stakeholders. Understanding the current local media landscape is critical.  

Working independently on a regular basis and as part of a small team, the Sales Support Coordinator is responsible for maintaining, and in some cases, creating highly detailed reports to ensure the highest quality of work as well as accountability programs to keep teammates and supervisor informed about work progress. 

The role requires significant independent judgment, attention to detail, advanced relationship-building skills to support stakeholders (most notably high-level leaders from local media brands), and a high technical proficiency given the remote-work environment.  The Arizona Media Association is an equal opportunity employer.   

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with AMA staff, AMA members, ALNF donors, and other partners. 
• Help create or refine PEP templates, workflows, and standard operating procedures. 
• Provide prompt, professional communication to members regarding campaign updates, reporting, and timelines. 
• Monitor PEP campaign performance, identify any issues, and assist with timely resolution. 
• Collect and organize data for reporting, performance measurement, and platform evaluation. 
• Assist with monthly invoicing, billing accuracy, and financial documentation related to PEP campaigns. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, communications, marketing, or related field, or work experience in related field is an acceptable substitute for educational experience.  
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting, data entry, and documentation. 
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently, with solid time management, administrative, sales, and public relations skills. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, filtering, formulas) and other Microsoft products. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. 

• Self-starter who is goal-oriented and highly motivated with strong drive and initiative to achieve the organization's mission. 
• Familiarity with digital display and pre-roll advertising; experience with platforms such as Google Ads is a plus. 
• Experience in media or advertising operations is a plus.
