A Day in the Life:
The Sourcing Manager leads company-wide purchasing strategy and vendor management to ensure operations are supplied on time, within budget, and aligned with standardized procurement practices. This role partners closely with veterinary operations and internal teams to coordinate procurement needs, manage inventory and logistics, and build scalable processes. By monitoring purchasing trends and usage, the Sourcing Manager drives proactive planning and cost optimization while overseeing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high-quality goods and services are delivered efficiently in support of the organization's mission.
Job Requirements:
- High schooldiploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of internal controls
- Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Able to speak, read, write and understand English. Exceptional communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; able to learn other software programs as necessary. Sage Intacct Accounting Software usage is a plus.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes, occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander. Time will be spent in a typical air-conditioned and heated office environment and a warehouse environment.
