Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and promoting their overall well-being.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes or care facilities
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed
- Support individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as mobility assistance and toileting
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care
Skills:
- Previous experience in senior care, childcare, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical terminology
- Familiarity with assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or other care settings
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Complete a caregiver training program approved by the DHS
- Pass a written competency exam
- Obtain a fingerprint clearance card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Complete a CPR and First Aid certification course
- Demonstrate negative results for tuberculosis (TB) testing
