About the Position

Arizona Flower Market is looking for a dependable, motivated Warehouse Associate / Floral Processor to join our team.

This isn't a typical warehouse job. You'll work with fresh flowers and plants arriving from growers around the world while helping keep our busy wholesale and retail flower market stocked, organized, and running smoothly.

This is a hands-on, physical position that includes receiving and processing fresh flowers, pulling and stocking product, maintaining inventory and warehouse areas, operating warehouse equipment, and occasionally making local deliveries or running company errands.

Floral experience is not required. We're happy to teach the right person about flowers and proper floral care. Previous warehouse experience and comfort using computers and technology are important.

What You'll Do

• Receive, unload, and check incoming flowers, plants, hardgoods, and supplies
• Process fresh flowers by cutting, hydrating, treating, and preparing them for storage and sale
• Inspect incoming perishable products for quality and freshness
• Verify quantities and assist with receiving inventory into our system
• Pull and prepare customer orders accurately
• Stock and rotate flowers, plants, and warehouse supplies
• Perform inventory counts and help maintain accurate inventory
• Learn flower and greenery names, varieties, and basic care requirements
• Monitor product quality and rotate inventory to maintain freshness
• Maintain organized flower coolers, warehouse areas, and market inventory
• Wash buckets and maintain clean, safe work areas
• Load, unload, lift, and move product throughout the warehouse
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
• Occasionally make local deliveries or run company errands as needed
• Assist with other warehouse responsibilities during busy periods

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory, production, or similar hands-on experience
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Detail-oriented and able to follow established processes
• Comfortable using computers and technology, including inventory/order systems, email, scanners, and basic Microsoft Office applications
• Willing to learn new systems and procedures
• Previous forklift, electric pallet jack, scissor lift, or similar warehouse equipment experience is preferred; training can be provided
• Valid Arizona driver's license with a driving record that allows you to operate company vehicles
• Comfortable driving company vehicles for occasional deliveries and errands
• Box truck experience is a plus, but not required
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Physical Requirements

This is an active warehouse position. Applicants must be comfortable:

• Working on their feet throughout the shift
• Repeatedly lifting, carrying, and moving approximately 20–60 lbs.
• Bending, reaching, kneeling, and performing other physical warehouse tasks
• Working in refrigerated flower coolers for portions of the workday
• Moving between warehouse, cooler, market, loading, and receiving areas throughout the day

Schedule

• Full-time, typically 5 days per week
• Schedules generally include 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day, although this may vary based on business needs
• Many warehouse shifts currently run approximately 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• We operate 7 days a week and are developing both opening and closing schedules, so flexibility to work different shift times is required
• Weekend availability is required
• Extended hours may be needed during major floral holidays and other peak periods
• Time-off requests may be limited during designated holiday blackout periods
