What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure Administrator position at Arizona Financial Credit Union?
The position is responsible for operational management and support of network and server systems hardware, operating systems and associated management application and infrastructure at all Arizona Financial Credit Union facilities, including the Operations Center, Branch Offices and Data Center facilities.
Essential Job Functions
- Effectively administers and maintains our core infrastructure components and applications to ensure they are available, reliable, relevant, secure, and scalable. Supports all segments within the Information Technology department with activities including contributing to and reviewing detailed design requirements, evaluating, and anticipating impact of technical solutions, and contributing to technical specifications.
- Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills in the identification and resolution of problems. Ability to plan, document, and execute complex change requests including rollback and validation.
- Ability to follow best practices when making decisions on environment (AD, DNS, DHCP, Certs, etc.) architecture.
- Installs, maintains, and operates local area network server hardware and operating systems, including virtualized systems.
- Manages new and existing users and specifies appropriate individual, group and enterprise-wide directory structures, applications, and system access levels.
- Troubleshoots and restores services on systems and network-related events in internal facing systems and network connections; maintains all LAN/WAN and Internet connections.
- Maintains and operates enterprise archival systems, electronic mail filtering and Internet usage systems.
- Maintains the software with current patches and software/hardware upgrades to ensure systems are current.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Position Required Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field or commensurate experience and three (3) years’ experience as an administrator in one or more of the following: VMware vSphere environment; Microsoft solutions such as Active Directory, Exchange, Azure, O365, Intune, SCCM, Teams, and other Microsoft enterprise technologies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
LAN/WAN networking in a multi-site, multi-datacenter environment leveraging next generation switching and routing technologies such as Arista, Aruba, Cisco, and Palo Alto. Backup, restore and archive technologies including Veeam with VMware.
Licenses, Training, and Certifications Required
Comptia Network , Server or Linux , or similar level certification within the past 10 years. The following will also be required within the first year: Microsoft Azure Associate, VMware VCTA, CISCO CCT, Arista ACE-L1, or similar level certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with administering systems in a stretched metro cluster environment.
- Experience with running VMware with NSX networking with service insertion.
- Experience with Brocade SAN solutions.
- Experience with collaboration and communication platforms like Anywhere365, Numonix, Calabrio, XM Fax, or similar.
- Certification in one or more of the following: Microsoft Azure Associate, VMware VCTA, Cisco CCT, Arista Ace-L1, or similar level of certification.
Hybrid Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.
