Role Description This is a full-time Electrician role in a hybrid work arrangement, based in Tucson, AZ, with some work-from-home tasks such as documentation and planning. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for residential and commercial projects, including panels, wiring, lighting, and energy-efficient solutions. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing troubleshooting and diagnostics, completing service calls, and ensuring safe, code-compliant installations. The role also involves coordinating with project managers and engineering staff, documenting work performed, and communicating clearly with customers about findings, options, and recommendations. Occasional emergency or after-hours service work may be required, following safety protocols and company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electricity and electrical work, including wiring, circuits, and safe installation practices.
- Experience with maintenance & repair and troubleshooting of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Exposure to electrical engineering concepts and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of local and national electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Relevant electrician license or certification in Arizona, or eligibility to obtain it within a defined timeframe.
- Proficiency with standard electrical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues, and for documenting work accurately.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Tucson, AZ.
- Previous experience in solar, energy-efficient lighting, or home automation systems is a plus.
