Job Summary

To inspire and guide new drivers on their journey to safe and confident driving. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive driving lessons and foster a positive learning environment. Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on behind-the-wheel instruction to students, demonstrating safe driving techniques in various road conditions
- Assess student progress regularly and tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and motivating environment for all learners
- Ensure all training complies with local licensing regulations and industry standards
- Manage scheduling of lessons efficiently, being on time and professional.
- Document student performance, attendance, and progress accurately with DocuSign forms for each student.
Experience
- Valid driver license.
- Demonstrated ability to manage environments effectively, especially when working with adult learners or new drivers
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and feedback to students of diverse backgrounds
- Prior classroom management experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for teaching is essential
- Familiarity with adult education principles and working with students of varying skill levels enhances effectiveness
Training
- 40 hours of behind-the-wheel training (observing student lessons & training techniques, lesson planning, route plans) Paid at training rate, not hiring rate.
- 10 hours of IPAD, Documents, E-learning resources. (Self-paced and done on your own time)
- 50 hours of studying for ADOT Instructor test. AZ Laws & Regulations, Title 17 & Title 28, Driver Manual, Instructor Handbook & Driving School Curriculum. (Self-paced & done on your own time)
