The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR)
is seeking a Systems/LAN administrator who will be responsible for the
technical development, deployment, and maintenance of Local Area
Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and Information Technology
systems and services. This position will also be responsible for
maintaining mission-critical networks in optimal operational
performance, installing end-user software/hardware, computer imaging,
troubleshooting issues, and problem-solving complex technical systems
utilizing advanced networking technologies.
Job Duties:\
Knowledge of:\
media management\
Network certification (CompTIA Network \[New\]), or Microsoft
Solution Expert Certification (MCSE)\
electronics and LAN and WAN technologies\
a relevant area
Pre-Employment Requirements:\
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background
investigation and a drug test, and possibly a medical/physical
examination.
Bachelors degree plus three (3) or more years of experience in systems
administration (or equivalent experience)

- Troubleshoots complex hardware and software problems in support of
- Installs, configures, and upgrades client workstation operating
- Conducts adds, moves, changes, preventative maintenance, and repairs
- Supports and administers Cable Television (CATV), Digital
- Creates, modifies, moves, and deletes user accounts in conjunction
- Plans, tests, and implements Local and Wide Area Network development
- Initiates and enforces network security via passwords, anti-virus
- Prepares reports and develops technical implementation plans\
- Attends training classes, seminars and keeps abreast of current
- Drives on State business\
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

- Personal Computer (PC) operating systems and hardware\
