- Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required by Federal law\
- Supervises and trains assigned inmate workers\
- Closely monitors work crew activities and enforces security practices and daily sanitation in the area of responsibility in accordance with ADCRR policies, procedures, and best practices\
- Oversees the loading, delivery, and installation of ACI products\
- Supervises warehouse activities performed by inmates\
- Prepares necessary trip tickets per ADCRR guidelines and maintains CDL certifications/medical compliance\
- Takes precautionary measures to prevent damage or theft of items while in transit\
- Accounts for all goods being shipped on the bill of lading and verifies quality of goods being sold\
- Ensures quality installation\
- Interfaces with customers and vendors during pickup, delivery, and installation of ACI-produced goods\
- Operates material handling equipment, which includes hand trucks, electric pallet jacks, and gas-operated forklifts (up to 11,000 lbs. capacity)\
- Consults with the Regional Operations Manager, Transportation Supervisor, and other staff regarding quality control issues\
- Attends mandatory training and staff meetings\
- Prepares written reports as required\
- Drives on State business\
