The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR)
is seeking a reliable Building Maintenance Specialist. In this role,
you\'ll handle preventive maintenance and various facility duties at
Arizona State Prison Complex - Eyman, including plumbing, electrical,
HVAC, and kitchen equipment repairs. You\'ll plan and schedule projects,
complete documentation, ensure tools are in working order, supervise
inmate workers, attend meetings and training sessions, and perform other
assigned duties. If you\'re qualified and dependable, we want you!
Job Duties
\- Schedules and plans maintenance-related projects to include pricing,
material list, equipment, and needs\
\
\- On-the-job training as a technical or generalized maintenance staff
person\
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background
investigation, drug test, and a medical/physical examination.\
\
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an
essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply.
Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess
and retain a current, valid class-appropriate drivers license, complete
all required training, and successfully pass all necessary drivers
license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and
neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are
subject to drivers license record checks, must maintain acceptable
driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An
employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall
maintain the statutorily required liability insuran ce (see Arizona
Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).\

In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required
to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation
and every year thereafter.

- Completes related documentation as required by policy and as directed
- Basic knowledge of office equipment to include computers, internet
- Inspects and maintains tools and equipment to ensure proper working
- Supervises and evaluates inmate workers performance\
- Attends staff meetings and training as required, and performs other
- Drives on State business\
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
- Knowledge of:**\
- Structural issues regarding building and utility service systems,
- All trades include electrical, electronic, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry,
- Budgeting to include estimating costs and ordering materials\
- Common and specialized tools and equipment for performing duties\
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and
\
- Skill in:**\
- Basic reading of blueprints, schematics, and general construction\
- Mechanical devices, electrical, preventative maintenance\
- Using and demonstrating the use of common and specialist tools\
- Written and verbal communication\
- Building and maintaining interpersonal relationships\
- Ability to:**\
- Lift/Carry 50lbs\
- Push/Pull 50lbs\
- Walk/Run .25 miles\
- Work in a prison environment\
- Supervise inmate work crews\
- Learn and adhere to ADCRR policies and procedures
