Job Summary
The Group Exercise Instructor / Personal Trainer will instruct and coach groups and individuals in exercise and the fundamentals of fitness. Display techniques and routines of participation. Observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary to improve their skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Offer various levels of programs to accommodate all fitness levels, including high risk clientele.
- Oversee, and monitor exercise participants.
- Explain and enforce Club safety rules and regulations governing recreational activates.
- Administer first aid when necessary, treating minor injuries and contacting appropriate emergency personnel.
- Support Country Club as needed.
Education:
High-school graduate or GED equivalent required. College or equivalent on-the-job training preferred. 1-2 years experience successfully leading group exercise classes required. Current nationally accredited group exercise certification required (e.g ACE, NSCA, AFAA, NASM, ACSM) Current CPR/AED certification required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Able to interact successfully with a variety of people in person with attention to comprehending information. Excellent oral communication skills as well as understanding written communication in work related documents. Must be confident of skills and have the ability to make sound, independent decisions when appropriate; have the willingness to adjust to and conform to varying schedules; have excellent communication skills; and work well in a team setting.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while participating in recreational activities, must also be able to endure rigorous exercise for extended periods of time (2-3 hours) have great communication skills (i.e., communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English). Performing movements which require constant movement of arms, legs and moving entire body including walking/running, bending, climbing, stooping and balancing. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures, work directly with the public performing services. Job requires exposure to some weather conditions as well as temperature controlled gym space. Must be able to work in an open area with other employees and visitors.
