What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 Summer Internship position at Arizona Commerce Authority?
The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) is the state's leading economic development organization with a streamlined mission to grow and strengthen Arizona's economy.
The ACA uses a three-pronged approach to advance the overall economy: recruit, grow, create – recruit out-of-state companies to expand their operations in Arizona; work with existing companies to grow their business in Arizona and beyond; and partner with entrepreneurs and companies large and small to create new jobs and businesses in targeted industries.
Internship Program
The ACA Summer Internship Program has been developed to provide high school and college students with the opportunity to explore interests and talents. Interning is a great way to build experience that looks good on a resume.
Summer internships are a great way to prepare for life after high school or college. The skills you learn early on will help you develop the professional talents you'll need throughout your life. These include basic but important skills like customer service or working with people who may be very different from the friends you hang out with.
Work experience can also help you feel good about yourself. The self-esteem and self-confidence you can develop at an internship will come in handy when you're ready to interview for college or a job after high school and/or college.
If you're interested to be part of a fun, hard-working team dedicated to growing Arizona's economy, we invite you to dip your toe into the ACA pool this summer; your contributions can make a world of difference!
What are we looking for?
Ideally, applicants will be organized and have good time management skills, excel at working independently and as part of a team, and seek to grow and develop professionally. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Participants should demonstrate leadership qualities and a willingness to learn.
