JOB TITLE: REGISTRAR (COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL)
CALENDAR: 2611H (12 MONTH)
SALARY: GRADE 112 (SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL HOURLY)
Job Goal
Maintain all student files and grade records in a timely, accurate manner, and evaluate and enter transcripts into a computerized system.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to use a computer and maintain records in a confidential, secure manner
- Good computational skills
- Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and others
- Ability to type accurately at an acceptable rate of speed
- Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules
Core Job Functions:
- Set up permanent record files for new and transfer students and verify for completeness
- Maintain and service the active, inactive, and withdrawal files for all students, including cumulative records, recording of grades, special tests, activities, and other information as required
- Pull and retrieve files as requested
- Enter official transcripts of new students
- Send out transcripts of students transferring to other schools or entering colleges and universities
- Compute grade point averages and class ranks of students
- Input and update information into the computer
- Maintain a variety of files and records
- Produce a variety of lists and reports for school use (class rank, graduation, diplomas, failure reports, proficiency scores, etc.)
- Perform related duties as requested
- Perform all duties safely and prudently as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
