CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT JOB DESCRIPTION
CLASSIFICATION: SUPPORT STAFF
JOB TITLE: MULTIMEDIA SERVICES TECHNICIAN
CALENDAR: 2611 (12 MONTH)
SALARY: GRADE 115 (SUPPORT HOURLY)
Job Goal:
Assess, maintain, service, and/or repair school district equipment, including but not limited to copiers, duplicators, printers, computers, projectors, and document cameras
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with preference for an associate's degree in the electronics field
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and servicing a wide range of equipment
- Ability to use a computer and maintain records
- Ability to install, maintain, and operate electronic sound systems and provide technical support
- Good organizational and human relations skills
- Valid AZ driver’s license; may require use of personal vehicle
- Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, rules, and regulations
Core Job Functions:
- Assure all equipment is kept in a secure condition
- Serve as a troubleshooter for all office equipment-related issues
- Arrange for major repairs to equipment
- Order supplies and evaluate equipment for purchase
- Provide in-service training for teachers and other district personnel
- Effectively communicate with office staff regarding the status of equipment
- Set up and operate electronic sound systems
- Maintain computerized files and records
- Perform other duties relating to the general job function as assigned by the supervisor
