Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a P/T Nursing Skills Lab Specialist to join our Tampa campus! Great opportunity for a Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), EMT or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Schedule This is a Part-Time position (Mon-Fri Approx 25 hours/week)
This position is located 100% on-site at the campus

Under general supervision from the Nursing Lab Manager, the Nursing Lab Specialist will play a vital role in supporting student academic success by preparing, assisting, and resetting lab sessions.

Under general supervision from the Nursing Lab Manager, the Nursing Lab Specialist will play a vital role in supporting student academic success by preparing, assisting, and resetting lab sessions.
Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with Nursing Lab Manager and faculty to coordinate instructional lab sessions.
- Support the Nursing Lab Manager and faculty in purchasing, organizing, and re-stocking the nursing lab supplies.
- Coordinate updates, service, and replacement of nursing lab equipment as required.
- Set up simulation and skills labs to facilitate effective academic sessions.
- Control the simulator (Hi-Fidelity Mannequin) for various clinical scenarios in accordance with the faculty specifications.
- Operate the patient simulator, camera, and debrief system for the duration of a simulation while troubleshooting any equipment malfunctions.
- Deliver a theatrical production of scenarios to students in accordance with the academic plan, acting as a simulated patient when required by the scenario.
- Adhere to standards and safety protocols in the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.

Must have
- Associate degree in a healthcare-related area of study or equivalent skills and healthcare experience (CNA, MA, PCT, etc).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and students.
- Familiarity with nursing or similar lab equipment.
