Job Summary


Arizona Center for Cancer Care is seeking PET/CT and CT Technologists to join one of Arizona's leading outpatient oncology practices.


Whether you are an experienced CT Technologist or a dual-certified PET/CT Technologist, you will play an important role in providing advanced diagnostic imaging that supports cancer diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, and ongoing patient care. You will work alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, physicists, and imaging professionals in a collaborative outpatient oncology environment.

We are hiring for multiple full-time opportunities throughout our growing outpatient imaging network across the Phoenix metropolitan area.


Please indicate your preferred geographic area when applying. Qualified candidates may be considered for opportunities at one or more Arizona Center for Cancer Care imaging locations based on certification, experience, and operational needs.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Perform high-quality CT and/or PET/CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Verify patient identity, physician orders, medical history, allergies, pregnancy status, and contraindications before imaging.
  • Prepare, educate, position, and monitor patients while maintaining safety, comfort, and dignity.
  • Administer intravenous contrast media and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders, certification, and organizational policy.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing repeat examinations.
  • Review completed studies for image quality and diagnostic value.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within EMR, RIS, and PACS.
  • Follow ALARA principles and all radiation safety standards.
  • Perform equipment quality assurance testing and operational checks.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection prevention, and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, physicists, nurses, and clinical staff.
  • Educate patients regarding imaging procedures and post-examination instructions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
  • Maintain required certifications and competencies.
  • Travel between imaging locations as operational needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


Education & Experience


  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CT imaging experience required.
  • Outpatient or oncology imaging experience preferred.
  • Experience with EMR, RIS, and PACS preferred.
  • PET/CT or Nuclear Medicine experience preferred for PET/CT opportunities.


Licensure & Certifications


  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology program required.
  • Current ARRT(CT) certification required.
  • Current ARRT(R), ARRT(N), or NMTCB certification required, as applicable to the position.
  • Current Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) certification in the applicable imaging modality required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Strong knowledge of CT and PET/CT imaging principles.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
  • Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional patient care.


Working Conditions & Physical Requirements


  • Outpatient imaging environment.
  • Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Exposure to radiation and bloodborne pathogens while following established safety protocols.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between assigned locations.
