Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Draper role located in Peoria, AZ. The Draper will oversee the construction, alteration, and fitting of costumes for theatrical productions. Responsibilities include pattern creation, garment construction, supervising the costume shop team, and collaborating with the Costume Designer to ensure high-quality production standards. The Draper will also manage project timelines, conduct fittings, and ensure the maintenance and care of costumes throughout the production process.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in pattern creation, garment construction, and sewing techniques
- Experience with costume fittings, alterations, and tailoring
- Strong leadership and team supervision abilities within a costume shop or similar setting
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with designers and production teams
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage timelines and track multiple projects
- Experience in theatrical costume design or production is a plus
- Ability to work on-site full time in Peoria, AZ
- Bachelor’s degree in Costume Design, Theatre Design/Technology, Fashion Design, or related field preferred
