Job Description:

The Boiler Service Technician is the face of the company. You are expected to be on time and looking professional every day. You must possess excellent communication skills (written and oral) to communicate with the customers in the field in a professional manner. You need to be a team player and be willing to be on call overnight at least one week of every month.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Looking for someone who is control proficient. Highly skilled in trouble shooting, installation and repairing of boilers systems. Also skilled in make-up tank and DA tank systems. Including every type of boiler: steam, domestic and hydronic and numerous brands (i.e., Hurst, PK, Fulton, Sellers, Lochinvar, Raypak, Camus, Teledyne Laars, AO Smith, Cleaver Brooks, RBI, and Williams and Davis).

Looking for someone who is control proficient.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Installation and Maintenance:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of boiler systems, including those used for heating, hot water, and steam generation.
  • Routine Inspections: Conducting annual PM's and combustion settingd for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in boiler components like burners, pumps, valves, and controls.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and protocols in all boiler operations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Emergency Response: To be available 24hrs a day when on call for after hours boiler repairs (ON CALL ONE PER WEEK PER MONTH) .
  • Collaboration: Working with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues and improve system efficiency.
  • Training and Supervision: Assisting in the training and supervision of junior technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Experience: Prior experience with boiler and burners control systems and related equipment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as plumbing, and piping systems. Must be able to read and understand wiring diagram and piping schematics.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working in confined spaces and able to lifting 50lbs.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and safety protocols.

Additional Requirements:

  • Clean DMV Record
  • Must have a high level of understanding of installing electrical circuits in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Must have a high level of understanding of common electrical components.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot boiler and burner controls and safety systems.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot pumps and pump motors.
  • Must be familiar with industry standard steam and hot water boilers.

Other:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83,200.00 - $130,000.00 per year
