Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical gas equipment and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment repair, schematics, and the ability to work with hand tools. The Gas Technician will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and safely while adhering to industry standards.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair Medical gas systems in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs and calibrations.
- Interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on Medical gas systems.
- Document all work performed in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with field service teams to address any operational challenges.
- Work closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to ensure proper installation and maintenance procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and inspections performed on equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience in equipment repair, specifically related to gas systems.
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage in maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to gas systems.
- Knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to system diagnostics is a plus.
- Understanding of calibration processes for gas-related equipment is advantageous.
Applicant is required to be ASSE 6040 certified. If an applicant does not possess the certification, the company is subject to pay for certification with the below requirements.
The candidates for ASSE 6040 certification shall be employed or contracted by a health care facility or be actively engaged in working with medical gas and vacuum systems. Candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of documented practical experience in the maintenance of medical gas systems.
