Position Summary
The Membership Coordinator is responsible for the growth, retention, and engagement of the organization's membership base. This role focuses on building strong relationships with current and prospective members, including both tradespeople and HOA management professionals. The Membership Coordinator will oversee membership renewals, recruit new business partners, manage community outreach initiatives, and maintain accurate membership records and organizational documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Membership Development & Retention
- Manage all membership renewal activities to maintain high retention rates.
- Recruit and onboard new members, including tradespeople, contractors, vendors, and HOA management professionals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members.
- Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails, networking events, and community engagement activities.
- Identify opportunities to increase membership value and participation.
Business Development
- Procure new business partners and sponsors that align with the organization's mission and goals.
- Promote membership benefits and organizational programs to prospective members.
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and community gatherings.
- Develop strategies to grow membership and strengthen industry partnerships.
Community Outreach
- Coordinate and oversee the organization's community outreach programs.
- Identify opportunities for organizational involvement within local communities.
- Establish relationships with community leaders, HOA boards, management companies, and industry professionals.
- Assist in planning and executing outreach events that support the organization's mission.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate membership databases and records.
- Process membership applications, renewals, invoices, and related documentation.
- Prepare reports on membership growth, retention, and outreach activities.
- Manage correspondence and ensure timely communication with members and stakeholders.
- Assist with event registration, planning, and logistics as needed.
- Handle all paperwork and information associated with membership operations and community outreach activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, membership management, business development, or a related role.
- Demonstrated success in relationship building and client/member retention.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database/CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to community events and meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with nonprofit organizations, trade associations, and membership-based organizations.
- Basic knowledge of homeowners’ associations and property management, and related industry partners.
- Experience in events as it relates to community engagement experiences.
- Experience with sponsorship development and partnership cultivation.
