Practice Supervisor & Medical Assistant

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Patient Support
- Work one-on-one with providers to support patient care before, during, and after office and surgery visits.
- Room patients, obtain vitals, review medical history, assist during exams and procedures.
- Prepare patient charts and complete provider-directed documentation, including FMLA forms.
- Answer clinical calls, respond to pharmacy and patient questions, and page providers as needed.
- Maintain exam rooms and ensure medical supply inventory is stocked; report equipment needs.
- Provide exceptional patient service and maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.
- Follow clinical workflows and protocols to support safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Operational & Leadership
- Oversee daily practice operations to ensure smooth patient flow, efficient schedules, and exceptional patient care.
- Support physicians and clinical teams with scheduling and workflow optimization.
- Assist in onboarding and training staff; support continuing education and professional development.
- Promote collaboration, culture-building, and team accountability across locations.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and support corrective actions as needed.
- Manage vendor relationships, assist with supply ordering, and support contract considerations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and internal policies.
- Participate in strategy development and continuous improvement initiatives for processes, care delivery, and patient experience.
QualificationsRequired
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and outpatient clinical workflow
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration (or working toward)
- 2 years supervisory or team-lead experience in a medical setting
- Spanish-speaking preferred
- Surgery scheduling or surgical practice experience

Schedule & Work Environment
