They will work closely with the welding and structural lead to ensure all parts are correct and accounted for. FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:Reviews blueprints & bill of materials.Verifies dimensions of completed parts using a tape measure.Converts decimals and fraction as needed.Sorts and organizes tables of completed materials from structural department.Moves parts from structural tables to welding department carts by section.Works closely with structural, welding, and metal fab leads as needed to support team.Performs tasks such as cutting and grinding. Training position that will need to learn some welding functions.Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
