Position Summary
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager oversees facility maintenance operations, equipment reliability, and production support activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. This role leads Maintenance Technicians and related personnel while supporting continuous improvement, preventive maintenance, and facility renovation initiatives across company locations.

This role leads Maintenance Technicians and related personnel while supporting continuous improvement, preventive maintenance, and facility renovation initiatives across company locations.
Functions Of The Position
- Manage facility maintenance operations and support production goals related to safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
- Supervise and develop Maintenance Technicians and facility support staff.
- Manage maintenance projects, contractors, vendors, and repair activities as needed.
- Lead preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for facility infrastructure and production equipment.
- Ensure buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment are maintained in safe and reliable operating condition.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and scheduled maintenance documentation.
- Monitor equipment downtime and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Establish department schedules and staffing plans that will support production schedules/deadlines.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coach employee performance through communication, training, and performance evaluations.
- Interview, hire, and recommend compensation adjustments for maintenance personnel.
- Support employee development through technical training and cross-training opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Must be able to bend, twist, push and pull
- Must have a can-do, positive attitude, and the ability to thrive working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- 5 years of maintenance or facilities leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance systems, equipment troubleshooting, and facility operations.
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Prefer troubleshooting skills in the following areas:
- Hydraulic and electrical: press brake, shear, iron worker, overhead cranes, compressors, forklifts, motors & controls and welding machines.
- Hand Tool: Grinders, Drills, Air Tools.
- General building maintenance: Plumbing Carpentry, Drywall, Painting.
- Safety Inspections: Cranes, Forklifts, scissor lift, ladders, fall prevention and rigging & lifting hardware.
