What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Arize Construction & Restoration?
Arize Restoration is looking to expand their footprint in the Birmingham market. They are looking for a leader who will bring an ownership mentality and expand the growth of a healthy business in a new territory.
The Director of Operations role will have oversight of all sales, marketing, and operations of the local market. They will be responsible for establishing a local office. They will have responsibility to generate sales in the local market. P&L responsibility will fall upon this person to ensure they are executing effectively.
Initially, they could be onsite to possibly help set up equipment, demo, pull trailer to job site. They will be acting as a project manager coordinating and executing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor productive working relationships with team members & subcontractors, as well as communicate ongoing updates with the General Manager. The candidate will enjoy an entrepreneurial, high-energy environment as we grow this venture.
Responsibilities
- Meet project timelines and uphold project deliverables according to standards
- Update relevant stakeholders or team members on local market growth
- Work effectively with all parties involved in the field execution of each project
- Maintain the highest level of safety precautions possible on job sites and in company facilities
- Understand insurance claims and what considerations can impact them in the field
- HR responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent required
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- 2-4 years of experience in restoration, mitigation, or commercial construction management is preferred, but adjacent industry experience is also highly valued.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- IICRC qualifications & Xactimate or equivalent experience are a plus but not required
- Highly motivated and able to work independently and on a team
- Flexible schedule – calls could come anytime and especially in first year

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
