Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage customer interactions will be key to creating a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist in merchandising products on the sales floor to enhance visibility and promote sales.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Support inventory management through stocking shelves and assisting with product replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Supervising experience is advantageous for potential leadership opportunities within the team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
