Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment safely and properly.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and other laundry items.
- Follow proper linen-handling and infection-prevention procedures.
- Use PPE and laundry chemicals safely and appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the laundry area.
- Follow procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
- Keep laundry supplies and work areas organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on facility needs.
- Previous experience in laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional cleaning preferred.
- 1 year of experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
- Prior healthcare/SNF/LTC laundry experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, linen handling, PPE, sanitation, cross-contamination prevention, and proper use of laundry chemicals preferred.
- Must be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Must be able to safely operate laundry equipment and perform the physical duties required for the position.
