External Marketer

External Marketer – Abingdon Care & Rehabilitation

Abingdon Care & Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic External Marketer to develop and strengthen relationships with hospitals and referral sources in the local market. This role is focused on driving census growth through external outreach and relationship-building, while all referral coordination and admissions processes are handled internally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with hospital case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and community partners
• Conduct routine on-site hospital visits and represent Abingdon Care & Rehab services
• Identify and develop new referral sources within the market
• Promote the facility’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to key stakeholders
• Track outreach activity, market trends, and growth opportunities
• Collaborate with internal Admissions, Clinical, and Marketing teams to align on census goals

This role is strictly external-facing and does not include referral coordination, intake, or admissions processing responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Healthcare marketing or liaison experience preferred (SNF or hospital experience a plus)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of the local hospital market preferred
