Job Title: Housekeeping Aide
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform the daily activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility. As directed by the Administrator and/or Director of Housekeeping, the goal is to ensure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow established work/cleaning schedules as closely as possible.
Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor, regardless of how minor they may be (NOTE: Reports must be made during the shift in which the occurrence happens).
Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing staff when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
Clean resident rooms and perform discharge cleaning, including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping, and scrubbing beds, walls, furniture, and fixtures.
Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies as needed.
Maintain housekeeping carts, ensuring they are properly stocked.
Complete daily project assignments as directed.
Exhibit flexibility with schedules to meet departmental needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
At least 6 months of experience as a Housekeeping Aide or in a related field.
Experience in a Long-term Nursing Facility is preferred.
Strong communication skills.
