Position Summary:

The Nursing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients within the organization in Hilliard, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:

  • Develop and implement nursing strategic plans aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversee nursing operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation across departments.
  • Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all nursing personnel.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff.

2. Clinical Oversight:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality client care, following evidence-based practices and treatment protocols.
  • Oversee and assist with client assessments, care planning, and the implementation of treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.

3. Policy and Procedure Development:

  • Develop, implement, and update nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Ensure nursing staff adherence to established policies and procedures.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff to provide education and support.

5. Quality Improvement:

  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and safety.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.

6. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Maintain accurate and complete client records and documentation.
  • Perform chart audits to ensure compliance.

7. Education and Training:

  • Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff on best practices in substance abuse treatment, clinical skills, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all nursing staff are compliant with licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Crisis De-escalation requirements per their job description.
  • Stay current with developments in substance abuse treatment and incorporate new knowledge into practice.

8. Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required to ensure the smooth operation of the treatment center.
  • Participate in special projects, committees, and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Ohio or a compact state.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations and accreditation standards related to substance abuse treatment.

Working Conditions:

  • The position requires working in a clinical setting with patients who have substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
  • The role may involve exposure to potentially stressful situations and requires the ability to handle crises and emergencies.
  • Must be able to travel for professional development or organizational meetings as required.
  • This is a full-time position, and the Nursing Manager may be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational or staffing/critical need.

Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
