Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #LB-SR)
Direct Support Professional - Community Habilitation
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a gentleman who requires assistance due to accessibility needs. The individual is seeking a dedicated staff to provide him with support and assistance in maintaining independence both at home and in the community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with transportation to activities within the community, specifically schooling at Syracuse University, along with activities at the school and home assistance with daily living skills.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience is a plus but not required. Reliable transportation and a HS Diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire.
Work hours are Monday - Friday based on class schedule, could be morning or afternoon. Total hours per week will be approximately 25 hours per week. The pay rate is $28.00 per hour.
